National Grandparents Day , September 13, 2020
Although Grandparent’s Day isn’t like any of those federal holidays where you get a day off, it’s still a real holiday. It became an official holiday when President Jimmy Carter signed its resolution in 1979.
Thought for the Week!
A child needs a grandparent, anybody’s grandparent, to grow a little more securely into an unfamiliar world. – Charles and Ann Morse
Scripture for the Week!
“Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.” Proverbs 16:31
Prayer for the Week!
“Dear Father God, thank You for the blessings that come along with being a grandparent. It’s a bond of enormous strength, binding together multiple generations. Show us how to relax and enjoy our time together. Thank You for showing us how to respect boundaries, dispense wisdom, and express our love in a creative way to each of our grandchildren. We praise You, Heavenly Father, for Your promise in Proverbs 17:6 CSB, “Grandchildren are the crown of the elderly.” Amen (Unknown)
