Thought for the Week!
“The beginning of work is from the beginning of time. God Himself worked for six days and rested on the seventh. When God completed creation He called it "very good". We are created in the image of God and are designed to experience success and fulfillment through hard work! As Christians, we should view our jobs as an opportunity to serve God through perseverance and patience, and serve others through a Christ-like attitude. This thought can be used to reflect on your work during Labor Day and any time of the year!”
Scripture for the Week!
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. . . Colossians 3:23
Prayer for the Week!
“God, our Creator, the source of all wisdom and purpose, and the blessing of those who labor; be with us in our work to guide and govern our world. Give to all people work that enhances human dignity and bonds us to one another. Give us pride in our work, a fair return for our labor, and joy in knowing that our work finds its source in you; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” Amen.
Don’t forget
National Grandparents Day , September 13, 2020
Although Grandparent’s Day isn’t like any of those federal holidays where you get a day off, it’s still a real holiday. It became an official holiday when President Jimmy Carter signed its resolution in 1979.
