Thought for the Week!
The sight was overwhelming! A great Aramite army in pursuit of Elisha had surrounded the town where the prophet was staying. There were troops and horses and chariots everywhere, all in plain view for Elisha’s servant, “What are we going to do now?” the servant cried out in desperation. Elisha, who knew that the power of God overcomes even the most powerful of enemies, simply prayed that his servant might glimpse the scene through spiritual eyes rather than physical ones. May we do the same!
Scripture for the Week!
Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see!
2 Kings 6:17 (NIV)
Prayer for the Week!
O that you would tear open the heavens and come down, so that the mountains would quake at your presence, as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes waters to boil, to make your name known to your adversaries, so that the nations might tremble at your presence!
Isaiah 64:1-2
